MoU with Sundarharicha Municipality for DRR/CC framework

On July 2 2025, A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Lumanti Support Group for Shelter and Sundar Haraicha Municipality with the motive to develop the Local Disaster and Climate Resilience Framework-2082 and the Disaster Risk Reduction Strategic Action Plan-2082 for Sundarharicha Municipality.

Under the leadership of Mayor Mr. Kedar Prasad Guragain, an initial municipal-level consultation workshop was held, where stakeholders contributed valuable information. This gathering marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to gather insights and perspectives from various community members regarding local disaster management and climate resilience. Following this initiation, ward-level workshops were will be organized across all 12 wards of the municipality to collect the required information from local stakeholders, ensuring that the voices of community members and organizations are integrated into the planning process for disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation strategies.
