First stone laying ceremony of Housing Program in Matiariya community in Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City ward 22 conducted on 25th March 2022. The Mayor of the Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City laid first stone to initiate housing program. Deputy Mayor, Chief District Officer, Superintendent of police and other distinguished guest were invited in the program. 
 

Total of 32 low-income families of the communities will be provided support for the construction of their house. Each family will be receiving grant worth NPR 180,000.00 from Lumanti/Abbe Pierre Foundation. The ward committee has contributed NPR 25,00,000.00 whereas the Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City has contributed 15,00,000.00 for beneficiary households to implement the housing program in the community. The housing program is being implemented with social and technical support from Lumanti in collaboration with Abbe Pierre Foundation, Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City and Ward office of ward 22.
 

Followed by the stone laying ceremony, the team of community architect from Lumanti visit the project intervening community in Kalaiya for the community mapping and planning for housing program implementation. The team work together with the community people in Matiariya for community mapping and planning to initiate the housing program.
