LUMANTI is a non-profit making organization established in 1993. It is dedicated to the alleviation of poverty in Nepal through the improvement of shelter condition.  Since establishment, Lumanti has been focusing its work in the informal settlements and marginalized communities in the cities and towns of Nepal. It focuses on slum upgrading, housing projects, saving and credits, water and sanitation interventions, research, advocacy, strengthening community organizations and many more.  It operates with the core value and belief of spiritual attitude and behavior and creating a happy environment where work is not taken as a burden but as a contribution to the larger good of human beings.

It is governed by the 7 member board which supports at the policy level.  The Executive Director oversee day to day management.  The board is appointed by the general assembly for every two years.
