Majhimushahar Community is the isolated settlements of Mushahar caste within the city area of Ratnanagar Municipality ward no 5. Earlier, the community was resided at the bank of the Rapti River. The flooding in Rapti River in 1994 had swept away their entire settlement. The families then migrated to the present location in 1994 and restart their life.
 

After series of meeting with the community, women saving and credit groups and users group were formed. With technical support from Lumanti, housing structure and community resettlement plan was developed in partnership with community people. 22 families in the communities constructed their house through loan support worth maximum NPR 300000 from Urban Poor Support Fund with interest rate of 6 percent per annum. They need to repay back the loan within 5 years. Remaining 2 families invested themselves to construct their houses. Total of 24 families have completed the construction of their house
