Establishment of Awards and Fellowships
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary, Lumanti announced the establishment of the following Awards and Fellowships. These awards and fellowships were distributed in the midst of the celebration event on 31st July 2018.
Ramesh Manandhar Fellowship
Ramesh Manandhar Fellowship is established in the memory of late Dr. Ramesh Manandhar. The objectives of this Fellowship are; to promote action research on low income housing to contribute in affordable housing delivery to the low income and marginalized people, and to sensitize the young professionals towards affordable needs of the low income people. The Fellowship amount is Rs. 25000 for the duration of 6 months action research. Institute of Engineering had sent two nominations upon the request of Lumanti to bestow the Fellowship. The recipients of Ramesh Manandhar Fellowship 2018 are:
1. Ms. Sudikshya Bhandari for her action research entitled “Design analysis of buildings after earthquake: A reconstruction perspective; Cases of Barpak, Chitlang and Sindhupalchowk”
2. Mr. Krishna Ram Bhandari for his action research entitled “Sustainability analysis of private sector initiatives in housing for the underprivileged groups: Cases of Dhurmus Suntali Foundation”.
Sambriddhi Award
Sambriddhi Award is to pave the way towards prosperity. The purpose of the establishment of this award is to support the poor, deprived and single women to start up her own livelihood activities or small scale business. Nepal Mahila Ekta Samaj sent two nominations for this award upon the request of Lumanti, and two nominations came from the communities where Lumanti has been engaged. The amount of this award is Rs. 25000. The recipients of Sambriddhi award 2018 are:

4. Bhagwati Karki, Kathmandu
Mainya Shah Memorial Health Award (MSMHA)
This award is established in the memory of late Mainya Shah. The purpose of this award is; to recognize and respect the dedicated women Community Health Volunteers who had made significant contribution in improving health situation of the people in the communities, and to encourage and inspire for the continuation of their dedicated work. The amount of this award is Rs. 15000. The recipients of MSMHA 2018 are:

4. Iswora Nepal, Sundar Haraicha, Morang

Maitree Fellowship
Maitree Fellowship is established to ensure social justice through the enhancement of leadership of grassroot women in organizing the women, developing solidarity, promoting friendship and cooperation, linking with local governments and ensuring access to improved basic facilities in the communities. The amount of Maitree Fellowship is Rs. 50,000 and the recipients are expected to work accordingly at least for one year. The recipients of Maitree Fellowships are:
