Review and coordination meeting for WASH SDG project was concluded in Lalitpur on 15th July 2019. The meeting was aimed to share the project target and its achievements between the partner organizations. The meeting was organized by Lumanti Support Group for Shelter. During a daylong meeting, around 25 participants comprising the representatives from different partner organizations namely Friends Service Council Nepal (FSCN), BSP Nepal, Sahakarmi Samaj, Federation of Drinking Water and Sanitation Users Nepal (FEDWASUN), Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO) including Lumanti support Group for Shelter shared the project progress, achievements, challenges and learnings. Further, the participants discussed on probable areas to receive technical assistance for implementing the WASH SDG Project in Banke and Surkhet.
The WASH SDG Project in Nepal is a 2 year project ending on June 2020. The project emphasizes working on demand creation, business development and public sector involvement in overall WASH for its long term sustenance in Banke district. Second phase will include additional 2 years.
