Dlachowki is one of the remote villages in Kathmandu Valley located south of the Lalitpur district sharing its boundary with Lele and Tikabhairav. During the April Earthquake, the village was heavily destroyed. Fortunately, no one died in the village. Out of 347 houses in the VDC, 345 were assessed by the Post Disaster Need Assessment Team (PDNA) as completely damaged. Houses, constructed in traditional ways of stone and timber, without steel or seismic reinforcing, were the worst hit by the quake in Dalchokie.
